VIrtual Author Chat - Adam Berg Online
Join us for a virtual author chat with local author, Adam Berg.
Adam Berg was born in New York City. His father, Cherney, was a television writer and author and his mother, Dorothy, was a psychologist. He has a younger sister, Carlotta, who has continued in their mother’s field as a licensed clinical social worker and therapist.
Adam attended McGill University where he explored his love of history, graduating with a B.A. in that discipline. He was a member of the ski and fencing teams. After graduating he began work in the Entertainment Industry, starting as an Agent Trainee in the fabled mailroom of the William Morris talent agency. During his tenure at the Agency, he attended Fordham University at night, earning a Masters’ of Business Administration in Marketing.
A lifetime of selling started when he closed his first sale at twelve years old, loved it, and never looked back. Adam has built a universe of sales prospecting, research, negotiating and closing experience in fields as diverse as fund raising, television project development, retail store design, display and infrastructure, brand and character product licensing, talent representation for writers, actors, media personalities and comedians.
He has sold a collection of original watercolor paintings titled “Ghost Trains” as NFTs on Opensea where they continue to be available for purchase. He is working on a new collection; “Ghost Cities” which will be available on July 1st, 2023.
He is a recognized expert in cold-calling, securing meetings and following-up. Over the years he has conducted many sales seminars and has worked with private clients to hone and strengthen their sales skills.
Being a writer’s son, it is no wonder that Adam applied for, and was engaged as, a guest columnist for his local North Jersey Newspaper “Wayne Today”. Three years of writing columns formed the basis of a body of work he titled “That’s An Interesting Observation” and, using what he learned from working as an agent for major radio talk-show stars, Adam “talked” his way into WFDU-FM in Teaneck, New Jersey where he wrote and hosted his own radio program by that same title.
Adam sums up his experience thusly: “I have sold just about everything to just about everyone just about everywhere.”
Sales on the Go by Adam Berg
“Sales on the Go” is based on Adam’s life in, and love of, sales. Everything in the book is taken right out of real world experience. Nothing is fabricated or embellished. If it is in the book, Adam has lived it, and pleased to share it with you.
