Page Turners Book Group In-Person / Online
The Page Turners Book Group meets to discuss literary and popular fiction novels. All meetings are hybrid - in library and on Zoom. Copies of the book available at the reference desk and on Overdrive/Libby.

Summer is coming to a close on the East End of Long Island, and Alex is no longer welcome.
A misstep at a dinner party, and the older man she’s been staying with dismisses her with a ride to the train station and a ticket back to the city.With few resources and a waterlogged phone, but gifted with an ability to navigate the desires of others, Alex stays on Long Island and drifts like a ghost through the hedged lanes, gated driveways, and sun-blasted dunes of a rarefied world that is, at first, closed to her. Propelled by desperation and a mutable sense of morality, she spends the week leading up to Labor Day moving from one place to the next, a cipher leaving destruction in her wake.

Janette is the Assistant Director. She has a B.A. in History and an M.S. in Library Science. Among her many responsibilities, her favorite is selecting and ordering books for the adult fiction, nonfiction and large print collections.
An avid reader, Janette runs the Romantic Fiction (first Wednesday of the month) and the Page Turners (second Wednesday of the month) book groups. She is also a supporter of the romance genre and will gladly help "match you" with the perfect romance novel.
In 2021, Janette launched a Virtual Author Chat series where she chats with local authors about their writing and their path to publication. All of the chats have been recorded and are available to watch on the library's YouTube channel. In 2025, Janette established a writers' circle at the library. Pen to Paper at Wayne PL meets on the third Saturday of each month. In concert with the writers' circle, Janette also organizes monthly writing workshops which are led by local published authors.
