High Mountain Meadow Poetry Series In-Person
The group features two poets and includes an Open Mic. Hosted by Paul Nash & Denise LaNeve, representing the North Jersey Literary Community and the Poets of the Palisades. This event is free and all are welcome!
The featured poets for November:
Pamela Hughes: Femistry is Pamela Hughes’s 2nd collection of poems. Her first, Meadowland Take My Hand, was published in 2017 by Three Mile Harbor Press. Her poetry and prose have appeared in: Prairie Schooner; New Feather Anthology; Canary; Literary Mama; PANK Magazine; The Paterson Literary Review; Thema; The Red Wheelbarrow and elsewhere. She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College, teaches Creative Writing at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University and is the editor of the online literary magazine, Narrative Northeast. Raphael Badagliacca: He is author of two books: Father’s Day: Encounters with Everyday Life, and The Yogi Poems and Other Celebrations of Local Baseball. Fifteen of his plays have been produced in NYC, and he has performed hundreds of his monologues. He does voiceovers professionally, and he wrote English subtitles from Italian & Sicilian for the film, “Many Beautiful Things” on Amazon Prime. Lastly, Patty designs and produces the monthly adult program newsletter (aptly called "Check It Out!") which is available digitally and in print to keep you up to date with all the library has to offer!
She has been at the Wayne Public Library since 2004, and has a BFA Degree in Writing & Publishing, and a Masters in Library & Information Sciences.
