About Cynthia Watson, our experienced AARP Speaker for the Fraud Watch Network.

  • Senior Director of Internal Audit & SOX Compliance at a major consumer products company in NYC.
  • 30 years of experience in both internal and external auditing at well-known organizations and Fortune 500 companies across various industries, including consumer products, chemicals, entertainment, software technology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, publishing, and trading companies.
  • A proud graduate of Montclair State University with a degree in Business Administration – Accounting, actively involved with the university's foundation board and alumni groups.
  • Member of the Academic Relations Committee of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Board Member of Little Acorns, the not-for-profit arm of the Great Oaks Legacy Charter School in Newark, NJ.
  • Over 10 years of experience speaking with college and high school students on various topics and conducting staff training throughout her employment.

Karen is a Librarian in the Adult Reference Department, she wears many hats.  She manages the website content, the Televsion Screen in the front of the library, handles meeting room requests, runs the Adult Summer Reading Program and of course you will see her working at the reference desk.

She is fully experienced with the library's many digital resources and is always will to help out anyone in need of assistance. 

Karen loves to read and also enjoys knitting, crochet and crafts. She has run the Thursday night,  Keep you in Stitches Knit and Crochet Group since 2005 and you may also join her on Zoom with the Monday Open  Knit, Crochet, Needlework Group.
