Susan and Lizzy Senowitz are mother and daughter. The idea for their book, Why Is This So Easy For You? was hatched on a long walk during COVID and the book was written around the dining room table during quarantine. The story combines Susan's experience teaching at an all girls' private school with Lizzy's lifelong passion for dance. Lizzy grew up in Wayne and graduated from Wayne Hills High School in 2015. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia and works for a large financial company. Susan still lives in Wayne.
Why Is This So Easy For You? by Lizzy and Susan Senowitz
Stella is an exceptionally smart eighth grader from a poor family. She and her friend Liza attend an exclusive all girls' private school on scholarship. Together, they navigate the challenges of being the "poor" girls in a world of the ultra rich, while also figuring out how they are ever going to meet boys. Stella is an only child and a gifted ballet dancer. She yearns to know more about her family, but her parents shut her down every time she asks about it. When she is assigned a school project to draw a family tree, her beloved dance teacher gives her a gift that will change her life forever.

Janette is the Assistant Director. She is responsible for ordering books for the adult fiction, nonfiction and large print collections. Janette has a background in archival processing and preservation and is currently hard at work processing the Lockett Local History Collection.
An avid reader, Janette runs the Romantic Fiction (first Wednesday of the month) and the Page Turners (second Wednesday of the month) book groups. She is also a supporter of the romance genre and will gladly help "match you" with the perfect romance novel.
In 2021, Janette launched the Virtual Author Chat series where she chats with local authors about their writing and their path to publication. All of the chats have been recorded and are available to watch on the library's YouTube channel.
