Write to Lead: Transform Your Life Lessons Into Leadership

This dynamic workshop is for leaders, changemakers, and everyday trailblazers ready to turn their personal stories into powerful leadership tools. Whether you’re dreaming of a memoir, a manifesto, or a message that moves people, Write to Lead will guide you to mine your lived experiences, find your authentic voice, and craft narratives that inspire action. It’s time to claim your story, not just to tell it, but to lead with it.

Miriam Simon is a trailblazing leadership coach, author, and speaker who blends over 25 years of corporate leadership with deep personal insight to guide others toward success. As the author of her latest leadership book “Tattoos & Pearls”, she marries street-smart resilience with corporate strategy, showing the world how to thrive authentically in high-pressure environments. A Certified Hudson Coach, Forbes Coaches Council Member, and Corporate Achiever Award recipient, Miriam's expertise spans Human Resources, leadership development, and employee relations.

Throughout her career, Miriam has been a pivotal force in strategic initiatives and workforce optimization, using her profound knowledge to drive meaningful change. Her transformative leadership style, honed through extensive work with employee resource groups, culminated in a senior advisor/co-Sponsor role, further establishing her as a trusted leader in corporate spaces.

But it’s Miriam’s mission that sets her apart. She’s dedicated to supporting one million marginalized voices in reaching leadership roles in corporate environments, believing in the power of authenticity and representation at the highest levels. Her coaching is grounded in her own experiences of overcoming adversity both as a strong Latina leader and a leading voice in the LGBTQ+ community, along with building an impactful career while staying true to her values. She does this by engaging her audience in her podcast “Latina Mic-Drop,” currently on all major music platforms.

Clients who work with Miriam unlock their full potential, combining their authentic selves with the tools to excel in the corporate world. She offers a rare combination of empathy, strategic insight, and a relentless drive to help others succeed. Whether you're navigating executive leadership or building a future from scratch, Miriam empowers you to own your story, take up space, and lead with confidence.

Miriam is CEO and Founder of Mi Sí Coaching and Consulting LLC and is redefining leadership with her podcast: Latina Mic Drop.

Janette is the Assistant Director. She has a B.A. in History and an M.S. in Library Science. Among her many responsibilities, her favorite is selecting and ordering books for the adult fiction, nonfiction and large print collections.

An avid reader, Janette runs the Romantic Fiction (first Wednesday of the month) and the Page Turners (second Wednesday of the month) book groups. She is also a supporter of the romance genre and will gladly help "match you" with the perfect romance novel.

In 2021, Janette launched a Virtual Author Chat series where she chats with local authors about their writing and their path to publication. All of the chats have been recorded and are available to watch on the library's YouTube channel. In 2025, Janette established a writers' circle at the library. Pen to Paper at Wayne PL meets on the third Saturday of each month. In concert with the writers' circle, Janette also organizes monthly writing workshops which are led by local published authors.
