Virtual Author Chat - Mickey Flagg

Virtual Author Chat - Mickey Flagg Online

Join us for a virtual author chat with local author, Mickey Flagg.

Mickey Flagg is a multiple award-winning author who writes paranormal tales of passion with a twist of fate. Her mystical warriors, witches, teen-age ghosts and not-so-normal creatures of the night speak to the heart. Mickey is also published in the field of music education and in Still Standing, a web-magazine about loss and healing. She is a member of LSFW, NJRW and NJ Author network. When not writing or editing, part of her down-time includes snuggling with her very affectional Maine Coon.

Haunting Melody by M. Flagg

Melody Marie sees ghosts. Just her luck that they see her as well.

Not even Melody's mother knows her secret. Already tagged aggressively anxious won’t help Melody at Pinedale High, either. She’s the overweight walking disaster who desperately wants to fit in. No chance of that.

Hammer and his biker buds tragically died on Pinedale’s campus in the 1970s. He is drawn to Melody’s compassion for him. When her friendship with classmate Justin deepens, Hammer’s menacing antics turn dangerous. Every school day becomes a nightmare, and Melody’s desire to fit in fizzles out.

Now, she encounters nonstop clashes with ghosts, her meddling mom, a nosey school counselor, and even the law because of Justin, a known troublemaker. Can she rise above everything going wrong to help Hammer or Justin…or find a way to help them both?

Janette is the Assistant Director. She has a B.A. in History and an M.S. in Library Science. Among her many responsibilities, her favorite is selecting and ordering books for the adult fiction, nonfiction and large print collections.

An avid reader, Janette runs the Romantic Fiction (first Wednesday of the month) and the Page Turners (second Wednesday of the month) book groups. She is also a supporter of the romance genre and will gladly help "match you" with the perfect romance novel.

In 2021, Janette launched a Virtual Author Chat series where she chats with local authors about their writing and their path to publication. All of the chats have been recorded and are available to watch on the library's YouTube channel. In 2025, Janette established a writers' circle at the library. Pen to Paper at Wayne PL meets on the third Saturday of each month. In concert with the writers' circle, Janette also organizes monthly writing workshops which are led by local published authors.
