Virtual Author Chat - Gloria Duke Online
Join us for a virtual author chat with NJ Romance Writer, Gloria Duke.
Gloria Duke is currently living her best life as a paranormal rom-com author. In her previous life, as Gloria Ketterer, she was a WGA-Award-winning radio writer, a TV sitcom writer, and a brand advertising creative director. She lives in Philadelphia, PA, with her cat, Pippa. She hates humidity but loves a comfy pair of pajamas, a big glass of red wine, and—of course—a good love story. There's Something Fishy About My Boyfriend by is her third novel.
There's Something Fishy About My Boyfriend by Gloria Duke
After years of living on the Jersey Shore, Hannah Bell is sure two things are true:
1. The family B & B is her future.
2. Men like Xander--mysterious, charming, and un-freaking-believably gorgeous--do not just wash up like some kind of sexy flotsam.
But when Xander appears naked and unconscious on the beach, Hannah does what any sane, kindhearted woman would do: She hauls him into her bed. Her bed-and-breakfast, that is. But her act of charity goes sideways fast when her perennially topless "guest" starts fixing leaky faucets with a wink, charming her with fishy dad jokes, and casually revealing that--oh, yeah--he's a freakin' merman. The same merman that rescued her a decade ago.
As Hannah reels from revelations, and Xander tries to stay ahead of the secrets lurking beneath the tide, they'll need to figure out if their surfside chemistry is just a fling…or the start of something truly fin-tastic.

Event Organizer
Janette is the Assistant Director. She has a B.A. in History and an M.S. in Library Science. Among her many responsibilities, her favorite is selecting and ordering books for the adult fiction, nonfiction and large print collections.
An avid reader, Janette runs the Romantic Fiction (first Wednesday of the month) and the Page Turners (second Wednesday of the month) book groups. She is also a supporter of the romance genre and will gladly help "match you" with the perfect romance novel.
In 2021, Janette launched a Virtual Author Chat series where she chats with local authors about their writing and their path to publication. All of the chats have been recorded and are available to watch on the library's YouTube channel. In 2025, Janette established a writers' circle at the library. Pen to Paper at Wayne PL meets on the third Saturday of each month. In concert with the writers' circle, Janette also organizes monthly writing workshops which are led by local published authors.
