Art Display by Andrea Macaluso In-Person

June art display by local author, Andrea Macaluso.  Artist Meet and Greet on Saturday, June 13th at 2 PM.

Andrea Macaluso is a versatile visual artist, known for creating work with "Art from a Different Perspective". Her distinctive style features a graphic design aesthetic, utilizing unique vantage points and a visual language characterized by highly saturated colors and extreme values. This bold approach is significantly influenced by her colorblindness, specifically a red/green deficit. Macaluso is proficient across a range of mediums, including oil, acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, and digital art.

Her educational background includes pursuing both Psychology and Studio Art at William Paterson University, where she studied color theory under John Day, a student of Josef Albers. She went on to complete her BA at San Diego State University (SDSU) and pursued Master's coursework in Instructional Systems Design.

For a decade, Macaluso furthered her artistic development by studying art with Sarah DeLuca and was an active member of The Artist Salon in Westminster, MD, from September 2015 to November 2020. She also gained practical experience as a Gallery Assistant and Student Intern at the San Diego State University art gallery and currently contributes her skills to events at the Clifton Art Gallery. Macaluso's artwork has been recognized in several gallery exhibits. She earned 1st Place in a juried exhibit at the Carroll County Arts Center in Westminster, MD (January 2016), and received an Honorable Mention at The Clifton Art Association Exhibit at the Clifton Art Gallery (November - December 2025). Her exhibition history also includes a Solo Exhibit at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, NJ (October 2023), and shows at The Tiny Art Gallery (multiple sites, 2024 & 2025) and Off Track Arts Gallery (September 2015).
