Banjo & Mandolin Bluegrass Concert - Larry Mandon and Robert Bell

Banjo & Mandolin Bluegrass Concert - Larry Mandon and Robert Bell In-Person / Online

This will be a Holiday Celebration of American roots music, including blues, folk and bluegrass.  Bob Bell and Larry Mandon play old traditional music (banjo, guitar, mandolin) with some added history about the songs and the instruments.  Bob Bell is an award winning five-string banjo player.  He plays in the claw hammer style, which is rapidly becoming a lost art.  His playing and singing of old Appalachian tunes rings with authenticity.  He has that rare combination of technical authority on his instrument, and a deep understanding of the simple poetry of the old tunes that he plays.  Larry Mandon, who lives in West Milford, has been teaching bluegrass guitar and mandolin in this area for decades.  Larry is the guitarist for the group "Growing Old Disgracefully Bluegrass Band.  The band plays classic bluegrass and old timey mountain music: so smooth and polished, you'd think they were from Tennessee. Click HERE to watch over Zoom
